Gatekeeper

An open and free gatekeeper service is available from Vox Gratia as follows:

A directory of online users can be found at http://gk.voxgratia.org:1719/Directory

Any username can be used to register with this gatekeeper (as long as there is no other endpoint registered with that same username), and no password is needed.  Note that there is no link between the gatekeeper authentication and the Vox Gratia web site authentication.

This gatekeeper does not provide proxying (signal routing).

Endpoint

A H.323 endpoint using the Woomera engine is available that can be used to confirm IP connectivity, audio quality and two-way audio. This endpoint is accessible by making a H.323 call to following address:

By pressing digits in response to the voice prompts, it is possible to listen to record and play back recorded messages, and to hear a readout of the client's publically accessible IP address. It is also possible to retrieve recorded messages from http://www.voxgratia.org/messages

This endpoint supports the following audio codecs:

STUN servers

Reitek S.p.a has graciously donated a server to host a pair of STUN (Simple Traversal of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) Through Network Address Translators) servers. These can be found as follows:

Jabber server

A Jabber server is available for use by anyone who needs IM services.
